By popular demand, The Porticus Centre now has "Member's Center".  This is offered through Google, and the link to join is listed on both the Beatrice and Bell System Memorial web site home pages.  This will allow members to share information with each other relating to Beatrice and Bell, and is a great resource that we are happy to finally provide for you.

It was just announced today that The Porticus Centre will merge with Beatrice Companies, Inc. and will be part of the Beatrice Consumer Products, Inc. subsidiary.  This merger will help ensure that The Porticus Centre maintains the level of quality and reliability that so many of you have relied upon over the years, and this commitment is reinforced by our parent, Beatrice.

The Beatrice Foods Memorial site has been going through some updates recently, and most notably is the addition of the Beatrice internal news letters, such as Beatrice World, Dairy Products Division Newsletter and Beatrice/Hunt-Wesson Horizons Newsletter.  To view the news letters, Click: Beatrice Internal News Letters

We have also added links to old Beatrice commercials from the 1960's and 1980's.  Click: Historical Film & Video to check them out.

Another rare find is this advertisement that Beatrice Foods Co. had placed in the Official Souvenir Program for the Worlds Fair, which was held in Chicago, Illinois in 1962.  Click here to view the add.

Three new magazine advertisements that Beatrice had placed back in 1985 and 1986 have been added to this site.  One is from Tropicana Products, Inc. and the other two from Beatrice Meats, Inc., which feature Butterball turkey.  Finding Tropicana or Butterball advertisements was no easy task, but when we did come across them, we had to add it to the collection of Beatrice adds.  To view the adds, Click: Tropicana (Bon Appetit)  Click: Butterball (Woman's day) Click: Butterball (Family Circle).

January 2007

Not much has been updated on the Beatrice Foods Memorial site for a few month's now, since the integration of the Bell System Memorial web site into The Porticus Centre.  Our intention is to make the entire Porticus Centre web site easier to navigate and to add more content as time goes by.  For Beatrice, we have quite a bit of material that we want to add in 2007.  One of the nice things about the Bell System Memorial joining the Porticus Center is that with the original site that was set up, there are ideas that can be implemented with the other memorial business sites on the Porticus Centre, including Beatrice.  One of these ideas is the "What's New" page, which will feature announcements of new additions to the Beatrice Foods Memorial site.

We want to thank all those who have visited this site and for the positive comments that we received.  There may not be much in the area of Beatrice Foods documentation and history on the web, but we are going to rectify that.
